Center Administrator

Location: Homestead

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30a-4:00p + other hours as needed

The Center Administrator at Community LIFE is responsible for the effective operation of the adult day center, a PACE program.  PACE is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. We are committed to committed to enabling older adults to remain at home while preserving their dignity, independence and quality of life. The key responsibilities and skills of the Center Administrator position are: Coordination and communication with other departments, supervision and training of day center staff, facilitating and scheduling the development of Plans of Care, and compliance with the policies, procedures, and regulations affecting Community LIFE.   The Center Administrator must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to their assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards. The Center Administrator serves as the contract liaison with Contracted IDT members (including RN Case Managers). The Center Administrator has the primary responsibility to assure the agency staff meets the requirements of PACE competency and education. 

 

 

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, social work or substitution.  An appropriate substitution for a bachelor’s degree is a minimum of two years demonstrated successful experience as an effective team member in a Program for All Inclusive Care for the elderly model.  Master’s degree preferred.

Required Licensure:

Valid PA Driver’s License

Required Experience:

Minimum of three years experience in geriatric health care setting. Supervisory experience required.

Required Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of needs of elderly population in various disciplines.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Working knowledge of utilization review, quality assurance, and managed health care concepts.

  • Working knowledge of local health care and geriatric service networks.

  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
