Summary of Job Duties:
The Therapy Aide (TA) provides basic unskilled individual and group services, including wellness programming, to participants under the direction of a licensed Occupational or Physical Therapist in accordance with the appropriate state practice acts. The TA assists therapists in helping program participants to maintain physical and cognitive function through the provision of non-skilled rehabilitative and restorative treatments. The therapy aide completes documentation, assists with daily/monthly maintenance of equipment and helps to maintain the cleanliness of Restorative clinic environment. Programs carried out by the TA are established, monitored and changed by licensed therapists. The Therapy aide will also perform home care visits as a Home Health Aide.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid PA Driver's License and reliable vehicle. CNA preferred.
At least one year of experience working with a frail or elderly population. Experience as a restorative nursing assistant in a long term care environment is preferred but not required.
