Schedule: Mon - Fri 7:30am-4:00pm
Summary of Job Duties:
The Cook II is responsible for the overall organization/coordination of the day center kitchen and for the preparation and service of high quality, nutritionally-appropriate foods that are satisfying to the participant. The Cook II observes safe food handling procedures and maintains sanitation of work area and equipment. Work duties vary on a day-to-day basis and a flexible work schedule is required. As with all Community LIFE staff, this position demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards.
High School Diploma or GED. Culinary degree required.
5 years fine ining experience or equivalent combination of experience and education (minimum of 7 years fine dining experience). Some supervisory experience preferred.
